‘Can’t See the Forest for the Poetrees’ Poetry Digest

$19.50

Second in a three-part poetry digest series, written and illustrated by Mike Skullbuster. 40 pages.

Prologue
Mike Skullbuster is a poet. I know him as a musician, a coach,
a painter (both kinds), an English teacher, a father, a buddy,
a working-class hero and at one time the possessor of the most
bodacious beard you’ve ever seen. It comes as no surprise that he’s
also a poet.
In this book, his second published foray into the genre, he shares
a collection of works spanning over twenty years. This is not just a
compendium of poems, but an assortment of echoes of a life lived
at many speeds. These are the words of a common man who’s led
an uncommon life, or maybe the opposite. The specifics may be
vague, but the sentiments will feel familiar to any reader who’s
battled, loved, or borrowed tools from their neighbor.
The paintings are also rad.
